Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania Supply Chain Networks, OI, is a department within Production & Logistics, with the ambition to become the leader within sustainable logistics. Our mission is to globally develop, manage and optimize inbound logistics by building flows with high quality, minimal environmental impact, at best total logistic cost.  

Logistics Supplier Management (LSM) is a dedicated group within Supply Chain Networks with a responsibility of solving escalated deviations from our suppliers (incl. logistic service providers) and to proactively support Scania's Sourcing Process

There are five main processes within LSM:


• Development and Crisis Management of Part Suppliers
• Audit and Rating of Part Suppliers
• Development and Quality Assurance of Logistic Service Providers
• LACE coordination
• Common sourcing and Product development coordinaton

We are now strengthening our team in North Europe and will recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer to be connected to the Audit and Rating process of part suppliers. The role acts in an international environment, with frequent opportunities to build up deep knowledge of supply chain processes and chance to broaden the personal network, both within Scania and with the companies in our Supply Chain

Your work assignments
Auditing of part suppliers that are new to Scania according to VDA 6.3 on logistics requirements and processes to form a deliberate advise for sourcing nominations. Rate existing suppliers based on performance for sourcing nominations. Develop the nominated suppliers that are not classified A (highest score) based on list of open points before SOP (start of production). Furthermore you are responsible for supplier trainings before SOP. 

Frequent tasks includes:


• Executing logistic audits within Europe
• Perform logistic ratings
• Supplier development by executing follow-up of audited suppliers after nomination in order to improve weak spots and securing the logistic quality and fulfilment of Scania demands
• Supplier preparations on the logistic tasks
• Supplier training
• Contribute to the development of above processes together with your Swedish and Dutch colleagues. 

Your Profile
You have a university degree, preferably in business or logistics, and/or highly relevant work experience within logistics, supply chain, manufacturing and/or quality processes. A prerequisite is at least 3 years industry experience, preferable in the automotive and 2 years in quality- or process area. Experience of production- and/or logistics processes and methods. Familiar with improvement tools such as 8 step development, 5 why, isikawa, turtle method or other similar tools.

To be successful in this role you also need to have a professional approach with high cooperation & communication skills. You are a good problem solver, analytical, full of initiative, independent and used to deliver quick results with high quality. We value cooperation skills since the team you will belong to are motivated to help each other and sometimes share tasks.

You will get a large cross-functional contact network within Scania but also with many international contacts so fluent Swedish and English, written and spoken, is a requirement. The role includes frequent travelling and you need to be prepared to visit Suppliers within Europe at quite short notice, hence driver´s license (B) is required.
