Support Specialist - Global Process Owners Team

In order to create a more flexible Finance organization with a focus on support for business operations, Sandvik is implementing a new way of working - Global Finance Shared Services (GFSS) - one in which global processes are one of the cornerstones.

The Global Process Owners team (GPOteam) is a part of GFSS and works for the establishment of Sandvik Global Process Template for AP/GA/AR (Accounts Payable/General Accounting and Accounts Receivable), spanning over Sandvik's various geographies, business areas and business units. The GPO team ensures global processes and related controls comply with leading practices, policies and Sandvik internal compliance requirements and are executed in a harmonized way in all entities serviced. We are now looking for an experienced AP and GA specialist to support the Global Process Owners.

Key performance areas
In this role you will function as support to GPOs in developing, implementing and maintaining global finance processes. You work with harmonization within the GFSS scope, across BAs, countries and units, and provide support for the end-to-end process perspective with finance, purchasing and business finance.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Support GPOs in development and maintaining global finance processes.
- Support GPOs in driving harmonization within GFSS scope cross BAs, countries and units (e.g. authorization levels and policies)
- Support alignment from an end-to-end process perspective with finance, purchasing and business finance etc.
- Support GPOs in the design of global processes which is consistent with best practice and instigate process improvement initiatives where appropriate.
- Support GPOs in developing policies, processes (including controls) and operating procedures which are clearly defined, up-to-date and ensure they are properly documented.
- Governance and control over process documentation

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Business Administration, preferably within accounting, and three to five years' experience in a similar role. You have good knowledge of MS Excel, as well as excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken. Other language skills are an advantage. Knowledge of AP/AR GA&FA concepts, typical legislative/compliance restrictions and processes and tools from internationally operating organizations is a requirement. You also have good working knowledge of business in a global industrial organization and experience in working with both ERP systems and multi-system environments.

As a person you are analytical and thorough, with an excellent attention to detail. You are good at identifying problems and have the ability to resolve them. Customer focus is important to you; you have the flexibility to change objectives and priorities; and you can multi-task.
