Background

Application & Service Development is an organization within Sony Mobile with the objective to deliver stunning experiences for our end users. This is done by combining the assets we have within the Sony group and our excellent software and user knowledge.

In addition we establish cooperation with other organizations within the Sony group as well as outside our company to really utilize our full potential bringing the best in our product.

We need to strengthen our team within the area of web technologies and are seeking innovative, highly motivated and passionate engineers who can deliver cutting edge experiences.

Job description and responsibilities

You will be a member in one of our application development teams responsible for the end-to-end execution including planning, design, development, verification, release and deployment. The team that you will join works iteratively where end user feedback guides to take the right decisions to bring value in each iteration.

 

Who are you?

We´re looking for a person that cares about the user experience and performance with a highly professional attitude with the ability to deliver high quality work on tight schedules. You have substantial experience in web development with strong JS/CSS/HTML skills.

 

Required skills

• Excellent Web application developer – JavaScript, CSS3 & HTML5 experience is a MUST
• Experience with mobile development, including responsive design
• Great coder: Write clean, easy, well documented and sustainable code.
• Excellent language skills in written and spoken English

 

Additional success factors

• Experiences with WebGL and JavaScript libraries
• Strong consistency and attention to detail
• Experiences with lean and agile methodologies
• Interest and understanding of user trends with focus in the media and social area
