Sweden Accounting Operations Manager

Role Summary/Purpose: A fantastic opportunity exists to join our GE Healthcare Finance team in Uppsala.The Accounting Operations Manager is a key member of the Sweden Controllership & Accounting operations leadership team and manages a team of accountants to ensure accounting operations are in line with internal and external requirements. Essential Responsibilities: The Accounting Manager is accountable for the sub ledgers and co-ordinates the basic accounting functions, ensuring highly efficient and cost-effective business support to the Sweden operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, internal billings and cash management tools. - Leads Accounting team of 10-15 persons and works with internal/external audit to support local VAT, Statutory and Tax compliance - Ensure standardized, efficient and LEAN processes for the day-to-day operations of Accounts payables, Accounts receivables, Internal billings and cash management - Manage relationship with outsourced providers to ensure that we are maximizing their resources for the Sweden Accounting operations' processes - Monitor & Drive business and corporate initiatives, simplification projects and integration projects and provide leadership on these projects and other ad hoc special projects - Lead and develop the Sweden Accounting operations team - Maintain the financial sub ledgers of GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences AB legal entity in compliance with local laws/GAPs, tax codes, government regulations and filing requirements.- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements - Participate in regular balance sheet reviews and variance analyses - Participate in controllership initiatives and internal and external audit projects - Coordination of monthly journal entries & coordination of monthly/quarterly close & reporting for all basic accounting functions - Implementation of Controllership tools and processes - Plans and budgets the resources necessary to complete all activities on-time and in accordance with authoritative guidance. Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or other business related field and 5+ years progressive accounting or finance experience; OR high school diploma / GED and 5 years accounting or finance experience - Leadership experience from managing a team of Direct reports and Indirect reports - Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner - Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change - Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions involving process improvements; able to quickly grasp new ideas - Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others Desired Characteristics: - Experience working in a matrixed environment - Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills ---Your Life.Your career.Your purpose.Re-imagined--- For further information on this position please contact Hiring Manager Ann-Christine Löfgren: tel.
