About the position:

As a system administrator you will be responsible for the operation and installation of Linux and UNIX based servers that ELITS operates.

The tasks are divided to both individual and work in projects. It is important that you have a great ability to co-operate with customers, suppliers and colleagues. You will be a part of a team spans across several sites in Sweden, Germany, China, USA and Canada. The ability to handle teamwork and co-operation is an important skill to maintain a high standard and a quality delivery to our customers. Work during weekends may occur.

A “typical day” will involve provisioning Linux/Unix servers, troubleshooting OS related issues, building packages required by engineering, resolving IT trouble tickets. You will also work with architecture and design.

It is important that you can handle critical server solutions, and at the same time have a professional attitude, be able to organize your tasks and handle stressful situations. As a system administrator you should have a great interest in technology and the ability to visualize the customer needs.

Qualifications:

Required experiences:

· In depth knowledge of Linux and/or UNIX (Solaris)

· Installation, configuration and trouble shooting skills

· Able to handle TCP- and IP-based networks

· Experience working with infrastructure basis, including support and process ( incidents, problems, IT orders, requests, changes and releases)

· Ability to work independently

· Fluency in English

· Experience of ITIL is an advantage

· Experience working in large enterprise organizations is an advantage
