The Administration Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a System Developer.

Description of directorate/division
The main responsibilities of the Information Technology division is to maintain, improve, advise and lead the work on the ESS platform to meet the need of the project both today and tomorrow. Mission of IT Team is to implement, improve and maintain an open and stable IT platform. The goal of operation is to make everyone able to get the tools they need and to provide high quality service and support.

We are today 7 employees and 3 fulltime consultants working in the IT division, within numerous different fields.   

Description of main responsibilities
The System Developer will be responsible for configuring and customising the ENOVIA V6 platform in accordance with existing business requirements and to provide in depth expertise in analyzing production issues. 
Typical tasks and responsibilities consist of:

- Analysing problems and suggest solutions

- Estimating, designing and implementing solutions

- Producing and updating system documentation

- Constructing development tests


Qualifications



• Bachelor or Masters degree, with a technical major, such as computer engineering or informatics.

• Well proven and documented knowledge and skills in the following technologies: Enovia VG Platform, Java 6, Web Development (javascript, ajax, jsp, json, css, html, xslt)

• Experience in development testing, e.g. automated testing, load testing

• Well familiar with programming best practices and design patterns

• Experience of working in an international environment is essential

• Excellent oral and written English skills are a prerequisite; knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage

Extra Merits:



• Experienced in using Technia Value Components (TVC)

• Experience in system integration solutions

• TCL scripting skill

• Database skills

Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden.

Start date
The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
