System Engineer, Bumper & Claddings

This is an assignment at Bumper & Claddings within the Module Team Exterior Systems. The Bumper & Claddings team handles all exterior plastic parts under belt.

As System Engineer (SE) you will be responsible for all deliveries for a set of parts/systems for a specific project. Depending on your background and ambitions you might either design the parts yourself and/or lead other design engineers.

The work principles within the Exterior System Module team are flexibility and the possibility to use what your excel at together with a strong sense of co-operation; this meaning that you as part of a larger team will also support activities in other areas as well as you will get support on your area.

 

Responsibilities and tasks

- You will be responsible for a set of parts/system to report; technical fulfillment, timing and cost.
- Secure timely deliveries with right quality
- Report project issues and support need
- Secure technical fulfillment as defined by the System Manager including report any technical deviations
- Secure lessons learned for future projects
- Handle transfer from development phase to launch team for your parts

 

Requirements

- Plastic design know-how
- Genuine experience in Catia V5 and TCe
- Pragmatic approach to issue solving
- Strong strive for cooperation
- Structured
- Experience from task lead within automotive is beneficial
- Experience with the system area is beneficial
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Driven problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
- Ability to travel
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture
