System Engineer, Exterior Light Systems

This is an assignment at Exterior Light Systems within the Module Team Exterior Systems. This area is responsible for all exterior lighting. Lighting is one of the most dynamic areas within vehicle development and one of the strategically important areas within CEVT,

As System Engineer (SE) you will be responsible for either all Front Lighting or all Rear Lighting in a specific project. You will work tightly with Product Design to develop future lighting systems with high requirements on execution. For early phases you will work together with a concept design engineer to verify possible concepts. Part design will be developed by a full service supplier under your supervision. In the project you will report direct to the Unit Project Leader.

The work principles within the Exterior System Module team are flexibility and the possibility to use what you excel at together with a strong sense of co-operation; this meaning that you as part of a larger team will also support activities in other areas as well as you will get support on your area.

 

Responsibilities and tasks

- You will be responsible a system; technical fulfillment, timing and cost
- Govern full service supplier
- Secure timely deliveries with right quality
- Report project issues and support need through the System Manager and Unit Project Leader
- Secure lessons learned for future projects
- Handle transfer from development phase to launch team for your parts

 

Requirements

- Experience within automotive lighting is a strong merit (requirement?)
- Catia V5 (to check models) and TCe
- Pragmatic approach to issue solving
- Strong strive for cooperation
- Wish to achieve excellence in execution
- Experience from task lead within automotive is beneficial
- Experience with the system area is beneficial
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Driven problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
- Ability to travel
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture
