System Engineers - Electronics & Functions

As a System Engineer within the Safety Electronics & Functions area you are working with the development of systems and components (HW and/or SW) within one of our system teams, which currently are
- Active Safety
- Restraints Electronics
- Parking Assistance
- Side Object Detection
You will develop and specify the functions, system and/or components, and work closely together with our suppliers.
We are currently working both with the implementation into the current vehicles, as well as developing the strategies and solutions for our long term solutions that should be competitive in the automotive industry, which is rapidly aiming for more autonomous functions.
 
Responsibilities and tasks
• Perform system development of EE sub-systems to meet functional requirements
• Specify EE components that meets design, functional, environmental, mechanical, cost, weight, quality, and system safety requirements.
• Work closely with purchasing department and our suppliers to find cost effective solutions that meets the project time plan.
• Specify and follow up testing and validation at suppliers and at CEVT.
• Lead the function, system and/or component development from concept to launch.
• Support the defined release routines and release plans.

Requirements
• Minimum B.Sc. Electrical, Mechatronics or Computer Engineering or similar. 
• Good knowledge of EE systems in cars
• Experience of automotive function and/or systems development and/or specifying components for automotive use
• Experience of working with PLM systems, preferable Teamcenter
• Ability to work in cross functional teams
• Fluent in English (Speaking and Writing)
• Driver’s License Type B
