System Manager Functions & Specifications, Exterior Light Systems

This is an assignment at Exterior Light Systems within the Module Team Exterior Systems. This area is responsible for all exterior lighting.

This is a senior engineering role where you will work tightly together with the main System Manager Lighting. The main System Manager will be responsible for technology through time but mainly focus on supporting the System Engineers per project to secure right quality in deliveries. The System Manager Functions & Specifications will focus on the technical requirements for lighting systems. The tasks spanning from new lighting concept (AE) to detailed supplier specifications. Responsibility to also follow-up on all testing as well as reports from customer cars. You will also have the lead to secure right light performance as well as continuous develop the functionality for Exterior Lights.

The work principles within the Exterior System Module team are flexibility and the possibility to use what your excel at together with a strong sense of co-operation; this meaning that you as part of a larger team will also support activities in other areas as well as you will get support on your area.

 

Responsibilities and tasks

- Secure legal requirements within lighting, current and future
- Secure technical requirements (Design prerequisites as well as suppliers Technical Regulation)
- Secure light performance according to project requests
- Handle/support homologation activities
- Follow-up on supplier testing as well as
- Function owner; support functional implementation leader as well as develop new functionality
- Lead on development of future light technology; focus on function and specifications

 

Requirements

- MSc or equivalent experience
- Extensive know-how within Automotive Lighting
- Deep understanding on specification writing
- Deep understanding of function implementation
- Highly structured approach
- Pragmatic approach to issue solving
- Strong strive for cooperation
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Driven problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
- Ability to travel
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture
