System Safety Manager

As a Systems Safety Manager you will be responsible for system safety strategies for the vehicle architecture and embedded components within CEVT. You will work with both internal resources and suppliers to ensure that the components meet safety requirements and comply with functional safety standards like ISO 26262.

You will work together with a colleague that has established and developed work strategy, and our expectation is that you will work together to have a continuation and expansion of the work. We are open to both experienced systems safety managers, as well as a less experienced person with a passion to learn and grow into the role.

You will be part of the EE Architecture team within Electrical Department. The team is responsible for the vehicles entire electrical architecture design regarding topology, logic architecture, function allocation, system safety, SWQA and base technology.

Responsibilities and tasks
• Drive and develop common safety concepts across Geely companies
• Develop system safety design solutions together with our partners and suppliers, based on best practice to meet new requirements
• Define, plan and monitor system safety deliverables
• Define a long term strategy for the roll out of system safety strategies
• Main System Safety responsible within R&D organization.
• Work in close cooperation with architecture, Basetech, suppliers, and component project leaders.

Profile and Background
• M.Sc. Electrical or Computer Engineering, with focus on embedded systems.  Preference for studies specifically targeting Embedded Systems Safety.
• You have experience of automotive embedded systems or software development experience, particularly in Basetech/AutoSAR environments and with ASIL requirements.  Preference for experience as a functional safety systems manager.
• Knowledge about trends and applicability of new technologies
• Ability to learn from others quickly to then teach, lead, and apply knowledge
• Ability to drive, motivate and convince
• Persistency to pursue targets and take decisions
• You have a cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture
