Our division Propulsion & Controls (PPC) is responsible for delivering propulsion and control systems in the front edge of technology to a worldwide market. Our systems are the heart, the brain and the muscles of the train. Train Control and Management Systems is the brain of the train.

As TCMS Safety Engineer you will be responsible for the implementation of the Bombardier TCMS functional safety strategy and deployment program for our projects and products. This means the establishing of safety plans and day to day generation of functional safety documentation within TCMS product development projects but also continuous improvement of functional safety processes and templates to meet and develop future TCMS functional safety objectives.

In this role you will be responsible for the development and management of functional safety requirements and safety performance monitoring and reporting as well as identification and management of functional safety related risks in product development projects. You will establish detailed plans and controls to meet project and product objectives and be responsible for safety activities and deliverables, appropriate to the required safety integritylevel.

You will also work on continuously improving the functional safety processes and templates to meet and develop future TCMS safety objectives and support process owners and projects to ensure that process specific safety requirements are covered.

Qualifications

As our preferred candidate you have:

- Bachelor or Master of Science in software, electronics or computer engineering.
- 3-5 years experience in a similar position.
- Sound knowledge of safety standards (EN50126, EN50128, EN50129, IEC 61508).

- Working knowledge of Functional Safety Engineering methods (FTA, FMEA).
- Hardware and/or Software development experience.
- Knowledge of RAM methods is desirable.
- Leadership skills in a technical environment.
- Fluent in English and a willingness to learn Swedish.
