The department Workshop & Owners Information produces and develops all information including special tools used in workshops that repair and services Volvo Cars. Examples of information areas are parts information, wiring diagram, standard times, service information, repair methods, diagnostic information, and software packages. We are responsible for the full scope of owner's information and products supporting our end customers. We also have the mission to produce and develop illustrations and animations, print and translations for all information types and products in our department. We work with virtual development and support for method engineers, illustrators and editors.

As Technical Illustrator within the group Owner's Information & Support you are responsible for creating visual information for Customer Service information products. Our main illustration production is for parts, accessory user guides, fault tracing and training material. You will work close together with your colleagues in the Graphical support team as well as with colleagues in the department. You will have the possibility to develop your illustrator skills in different areas of technical illustrations.

Main responsibilities

* Produce and develop visual information according to image order and established guidelines
* Assist clients with photographic or sketch documentation of cars and parts
* Support other creators of visual information
* Contribute to improved efficiency and quality of the visual information creation process
* Report any errors discovered in the visual information content

Required qualifications

* B.Sc in Engineering, Visual Arts Education or equivalent work experience
* Good skills in using Adobe Illustrator for technical illustrations
* Good knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and Autodesk Visualizer
* Experience in using 3D software
* Experience of technical photography, graphical production and of automotive technology
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
