You will be a part of ABB Measurement and Analytics in Västerås, which is a business unit within the Process Automation Business. We develop and provide a comprehensive range of force and dimension measurement products designed to improve control, productivity and quality in a wide variety of processes and industries. Our unique basic technology principles are well suited for harsh environments, which has provided us with a long track record of satisfied customers. As the Technical Product Manager you will contribute significantly to the product development and Product Lifecycle Management by implementing innovative solutions and manage the product functionality, cost and quality during the life cycle.
Reporting to the Product Engineering Manager you will use your technical knowledge and collaboration skills to oversee development tasks and execute Product Lifecycle plans.


Your responsibilities
Overall technical responsibility for one of Force Measurement’s products
Participate in Product Development project, providing expert assistance on product requirements and product structure
Provide product support to customers and local operations
Provide input to Product Lifecycle plans to Global Product Managers
Execute Product Lifecycle plans to enhance customer value and ensure continuous high product quality
Applying appropriate development and quality standards, and monitors product quality and change requests to identify issues
Participate in improving Product Lifecycle Management processes
Keep up to date with technologies, tools and methods, and implement initiatives to improve ways of working and customer satisfaction.



Your background
Minimum 5 years of experience in Electro-Mechanic Industry, in a leading technical role
Sound knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management, Continuous improvements and the Manufacturing Industry market
Analytical skills and good problem-solving abilities with a structured approach. You enjoy taking initiative, visualizing goals, defining actions and inspiring your colleagues to join in
A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
Fluency in Swedish and English language, writing and speaking.
