We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist with a passion for IT and new technology. In this role, you will be responsible for solving support tickets, including resolving network issues, configuring operating systems, managing accounts, and providing world-class support. If you’re naturally a helper, enjoy assisting people with computer issues, and are able to explain technical details simply, we’d like to hear from you!

As a Technical Support Specialist, you should possess the ability to learn and work on changing and emerging technologies. Ultimately, you will be a person our employee's trust. They will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their technical problems. You should be passionate about helping the IDEAL employees and have a service-minded personality.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration
• Ask employees targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
• Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
• Making sure that the companies IT policies are followed, and take action otherwise
• Maintenance on critical internal systems
• Talk colleagues through a series of actions, either via phone, email, or chat, until they’ve solved a technical issue
• Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
• Ensure all issues are properly logged
• Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
• Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
• Be responsible for on- and off-boardings

Essential Characteristics

• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Fluent in English
• Understand Network- configuration and vocabulary
• Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
• Have a strong passion for IT and new technologies
• A general interest in computer programming
• Similar work experience is a great merit

Other

• The position is based in Norrköping
• This is a full-time position
• You will report to our System Architect
