Philips Mammography Solutions in Solna is part of a global organization that develops, produces and sells Digital Mammography equipment to hospitals. In Solna we stretch across the entire business and have marketing, R&D and production in-house. The strategy is to provide integrated solutions for breast cancer care. The product portfolio consists of a unique digital mammography solution based on photon-counting technology that enables excellent image quality with reduced X-ray radiation dose.

Temporary Electrical Designer – Solna

Our current Electrical Designer will go on paternity leave from February 2014 to August 2014. Meanwhile we need to replace him with an equal professional resource since this is a key performance role in our product development. Your responsibility will be to participate in the development of x-ray system for digital mammography based photon counting technique.

Key Areas of responsibility:

Identify solutions and design of electrical system which includes cable and component selection together with new design that meets requirements.
Cad design of cables and components.
Experienced with high voltage, 230VAC -500VAC, respectively DC voltage between 12-60V.
Responsible for prototyping in a lab environment, measuring results and transferring and presenting these results in an effective manner.
Establish sub system requirements that meet design specifications and customer requirements.
Set up of sub system test specifications and records.
Administration of documents and articles in the product data management system that handles design and development of new products.

Qualifications:

Relevant University education, with electro technical direction or similar.
Experience from regulatory industry such as Med Tech or Defense is an advantage.
Strong knowledge in manufacturing process of components and cables.
Experience in design for manufacturing, DFM, and design for assembly, DFA.
Accustomed with using CAD tool for design such as VISIO or other well-known tools.
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and Swedish, verbal and in written.
As a person you are open, positive and result oriented with ability of driving to completion.
Ability to analyse and resolve highly complex technical problems quickly and independently.
