The section Vehicle and Systems Testing is a section within the department A&V Environments & BRAVe. Our main purpose is to operate and develop the department's test beds within; Engine Testing, Powertrain Testing, Climate & Aero Testing, Chassi dyno Testing and Emission Testing. Our responsibility is to provide Research & Development with test beds and test equipment system in accordance with R&D needs with agreed solutions for capability and capacity over time.

As Test Engineer you will work within the group Engine function and NVH testing. The group consists of 15 engineers responsible for 14 engine test beds. 12 of those test beds are used for engine function steady state testing and 2 for NVH testing. The steady state test beds are mainly used for base calibration of performance, emissions and fuel economy. Tests of different hardware setups and new concepts are also among our daily tasks.

Main responsibilities

* Plan and prepare new tests in the test bed computer system
* Document methods developed during testing
* Be responsible for test object to rig interfacing
* Support the daily running of the test bed
* Plan, execute and analyze tests together with internal customers
* Continuous learning of new technology

Required qualifications

* B Sc. in Mechanical, Electronics or Mechatronics or equal experience
* A deep understanding of engine control systems
* Experience from engine test and optimization is meritorious
* Fluent in English, spoken and written
* Drivers license (B-level)

* Team player with strong communications skills
* A genuine interest of technology
* Able to work independently and take required actions on own initiative
* A fast learner with an analytic mind
