Test Manager

Are you a Test Manager with many years within application development? Are you interested in working in a global manufacturing industry environment? Volvo IT needs to strengthen the team of Test Managers with focus on industrial IT solutions within Volvo. We develop global applications that are used at many different factories throughout Volvo. Our solutions are highly integrated with the shop-floor in the factory as well as with the industrial workers day to day activities. You will work as a Test Manager participating in one or more teams during the project lifecycle. As a Test Manager you will have the overall responsibility for the success of the test effort. The role involves quality and test support, resource planning and management, and resolution of issues that hold back the test effort. The job involves both international and external contacts and a certain amount of travel as well as support. Qualifications University degree. Good knowledge of test management methods An application development background Experience of working with SCRUM and Agile methods Experience from industrial applications Experience in deployment and delivery. Excellent command of written and spoken Swedish and English. Key responsibilities Interact and co-operate with the customer?s Test Manager or other test responsible Accept the input for test Prepare the Test Plan including the Test Strategy and risk assessment, and defining the required test environment and usage of test tools Estimate time and cost for the test effort and prepare test schedule Manage the test work and evaluate its progress and effectiveness Support Testers in their daily activities Provide status of test activities to Project Manager / Maintenance Manager / Customer Prepare the Test Report Present management reporting, with status and deviations Authorized to make commitments that falls within the task given by Project Manager / Maintenance Manager / Customer Authorized to suggest alternative solutions and point out deficiencies related to quality requirements to Project Manager / Maintenance Manager / Customer when necessary
