The Integration Group
The integration group consists of approximately 30 highly skilled engineers who are working in smaller teams at the Electrical Department in Gothenburg. Each team is working independent of each other, but still there is a high degree of teamwork between the teams. Also each team have the communication with their counterparts in other sites within Volvo Group Truck Technology. The group is responsible for the global development of test rigs for the electrical department as well as Integrating HW and SW delivered from different suppliers. In order for the organisation to work smooth, one of the teams develop the tools required, one team develops the test objects and one is making sure that the electrical installation in production plant is running smooth. Within the group we also have the trouble shooting for the test rigs and test trucks used within electrical Verification. Never to forget that fun during the work day is also as important and this something we always strive toward. As an addition this group gives a perfect overview of how the complete electrical system is constructed in a truck at the same time as you have the opportunity to work with highly motivated engineers all around the globe.

Work description
The Test Rig Project Manager handles a small team of highly skilled engineers in Gothenburg as well as synchronizing the global aspects of the test rig development, rig maintenance and processes. A typical day involves planning and discussions with test engineers, rig engineers and project managers. Information from each stakeholder is taken into consideration to create a good rig update and maintenance plan for both hardware and Software. Within the work a lot of technical aspects must be handled as well as the soft sides, so good technical skills in both hardware design and software design as well as general computer knowledge is important. Uptime of the test rigs is crucial for our organization and your job is to secure that all rigs are running without unplanned downtime. Despite the importance of the rig, one must not forget that the project team itself is a vital part. Hence part of your job is to make sure that all team members enjoy their daily work and love to get out of the bed each morning.

Required Competencies:
- Good social skills

- Previous knowledge and experience of analogue and digital circuit design

- Previous experience of combined hardware and software projects.

- Fluent in written and spoken English

- Being able to work structured and making others do the same

- Understanding of software coding


Personal abilities:
- A team player, highly motivated and loves team work

- Previous experience in working with suppliers is a merit

- Good organizational skills

- Good knowledge in leadership


Minimum Education Required
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or recognised equivalent
