Your duties

Silex, which is purely a MEMS foundry, is in a high-expansion phase and is building a new production facility in Beijing, China. For this expansion Silex is looking for more engineers that will be trained to assume a central role in the interface to the main factory in Sweden.

During your first year at Silex in Järfälla you will learn the basics of MEMS manufacturing by working hands on with the manufacturing team. Your time will be spent in Silex's modern cleanroom fab as well as in Silex equipment suppliers around the World. After the first year in Sweden you will be stationed in Beijing where you will be tasked to set up a functioning manufacturing process together with locally recruited engineers over a two-year period. When the assignment is over, exciting challenges await at one of the Group's offices in Sweden, the USA or China.

Education and experience:

We are looking for you who is a trained Master of Science in Engineering with a degree in Physics, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
A few years of experience working with similar high-tech development is a merit.
As a person you are driven and independent with a focus on technical problem solving. You have easy access to complex technical information and are structured. To succeed in the role, you need to be efficient, practical and have the ability to deliver on time with precision.

Since the role also involves customer contact and collaborations internally and externally, you need to be a communicative and social person.
If you speak English fluently then language proficiency in Swedish and Chinese is not a requirement but a merit. Mandarin training will be offered as part of the program.
We are looking for someone that can spend two years in China with everything it means regarding the family situation etc.
