Transport Developer

Volvo Parts, a business unit within the Volvo Group, is responsible for the global management and distribution of parts and for providing the Volvo Groups business areas with aftermarket support.An additional area of responsibility is re-manufacturing of engines and engine components used in Volvos different engine programs.Position Description Volvo Parts Logistics, Eskilstuna are looking for a business driven transport developer to strengthen our capacity further. Job Description: As a transport developer the main objectives is to track and manage freight charges and accuracy for each transportation flow.The work is coordinated together with transport purchasing group in Gothenburg.You will also be responsible, together with representatives from Volvo market companies, for maintaining our current distribution routes as well as develop new ones together with other functions.The role also includes contact with external transportation suppliers regarding problem solving and continuous development activities. The department of transport development is organized within the Finance, IS/IT and Business development group.Some travelling will be required.Profile: The person we are looking for is business minded, self managed, customer oriented, flexible and enjoy reaching organisational objectives by working together in a solution oriented manner.
