Let’s break down that role. Working within the Cisco Collaboration Devices Design department, you will:
define overarching UX strategy for full portfolio of Cisco Collaboration Devices, establishing a shared understanding of user and customer needs
manage the global Cisco Collaboration Devices UX design organization to execute that strategy (people, resources, project execution)
collaborate crossfunctionally with PM, Engineering, Finance, customers and our Customer Success organization, and the rest of Collaboration Devices Design on vision, process, quality, and more
influence Cisco Collaboration Devices innovation and product portfolio roadmaps


To achieve those goals, you will:
guide and utilize UX research and testing from your own team and others
surface trends and sentiments from the industry and the market in a wide range of areas— from changing expectations in workplaces, to business demand
engage with customers to understand and solve their most pressing collaboration challenges
inspire and participate in world class crossfunctional teams to deliver our joint vision
connect and collaborate with the greater UX, software, and innovation communities across Cisco to unify direction and progress


Who You Are
We seek an experienced UX design leader accustomed to driving strategy, innovation, and high-quality execution in complex, multinational company environments, with strong technical, business, and especially people skills. You are curious and progressive, with a strong understanding of current industry standards and a track record of leading teams to create innovative solutions that deliver previously impossible capabilities and experiences.
You bring direct UX experience in both hardware and software in complex environments. Specific experience related to collaboration, security, and OS are beneficial.
Change motivates you, and you are able to make change happen. You know that a strategy is only as good as its execution and you are able to lead complex, crossfunctional projects and deliver at or above expectations, on time. You are highly collaborative- a good listener who enjoys working with people from different teams and disciplines. You see things through, drive accountability on implementation and do not give up easily.
As important as your creativity, ambition, and initiative, is your ability to empower and develop your team members.
You are curious and a critical thinker, skilled in analysis and able to simplify complex ideas to broaden engagement in them.
You are a skilled and compelling presenter and enjoy telling an inspiring, visual story or running a high-energy workshop. You know how to inspire people from insight to action, and develop findings into products.
