Biomass Conversion Sales department is responsible for sales of technology for pretreatment of biomass, i.e. hydrolysis and separation technologies with the aim to further refine it to bioethanol and biochemicals. As Sales Manager you will be responsible for specific sales projects and coordination of related quotation work.

OM TJÄNSTEN
Biomass Conversion is one of the most exciting development areas within Valmet where high priority is given to develop a sustainable and efficient technology – “green technology” – for the future. Valmet’s technology and processes make use of raw materials like woody biomass from forest residues as well as non-woods from agricultural residues to make new “green” products for the future such as second generation bioethanol, biochemicals and biocoal. Valmet’s customers are the forest, energy, chemical, oil and gas industries.

Biomass Conversion is a part of the Pulp and Energy Business Line.

Biomass Conversion Sales department is responsible for sales of technology for pretreatment of biomass, i.e. hydrolysis and separation technologies with the aim to further refine it to bioethanol and biochemicals. Another technology within Biomass Conversion is the complete system for production of biocoal, an end product aiming to replace fossil coal by more efficient pretreated wood pellets produced with this new technology.

This recruitment process is handled by Valmet Pulp & Energy in consultation with Academic Work, where Academic Work is responsible for advertising and administration. ARBETSUPPGIFTER
As Sales Manager you will be responsible for specific sales projects and coordination of related quotation work. You will report to the Director of Biomass Conversion.

Valmet regularly meet with clients for discussions about investing in the new bio economy and new projects. You identify new business opportunities and ensure competitive solution development and offering. You also plan and lead business negotiations as well as support our global areas in sales and marketing activities. As Valmet are working in an emerging business, the position also includes certain business development.

In addition to the sales projects you may lead or participate in, you will also take part in certain development projects together with Valmet Technology and R&D deptartments, which aim to develop our business concepts and technology further.

VI SÖKER DIG SOM
In order to be successful as a Sales Manager you need to have some experience of sales of complex projects within the pulp, paper and energy industry or corresponding industries.

Your education background should be equivalent to a Master of Engineering or corresponding competence acquired in another way. Good knowledge of contract law and economics are additional qualifications.

Besides the professional expertise, the role will require a strong customer orientation, a commercial mindset and a good understanding of Customer Value Chain. An ideal candidate has also great communication, negotiation and team working skills. You have strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions. You also have a sharp ear and lots of energy and drive.

Very good skills in Swedish and English are required and you should be proficient in communicating and giving presentations internally and externally. Other language skills are considered as additional qualifications.
