Position profile & Commitment to participate in the APP International Internship Program 2013

Information about the work tasks/responsibilities:
The Electrical Propulsion Control group work with the control strategies and software development for all electrical propulsion and hybrid projects within the Volvo Group. On the group we are working from writing requirements to SW implementation to calibrate and verify in vehicle. The assignment will be focused on testing and verification using Matlab Simulink tools.

1st choice: MSc Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems, Control, Mechatronic, Software Engineering

NC State University, US
Penn State University, US
National Institute of Technology Karnataka, India

Criteria:
Students in US and France: You are in your 3rd or 4th year of Bachelor degree or 1st year of Master degree in university career
Students in China and India: You are in your 3rd year of Bachelor degree or 1st year of Master degree in university career
Evidence of leadership experience and/or community service
Strong grade point average
Recommendations from two persons of choice; University professors, previous or current managers, mentors or coaches.
Proficiency in English.
Engaged and open personality, involvement in community work and/or student networks.
Team player with passion for new experiences.
Interest in the Volvo Group and in sharing int internship experience with fellow students.
Valid passport
