Vice President for Communication

Sandvik Construction is a business area within the Sandvik Group providing solutions for virtually any construction industry application, encompassing such diverse businesses as surface rock quarrying, tunneling, excavation, demolition, road building, recycling and civil engineering. The range of products includes rock tools, drilling rigs, breakers, bulk-materials handling and crushing and screening machinery.

We are now looking for a Vice President responsible for Communication within BA Construction. The mission is headed by the BA President, but aligned with Group Communication, and you will be part of the Global Communication management team headed by the Executive Vice President and Head of Group Communication.

Key performance areas
As a Vice President you will ensures that communication structures, plans and channels are aligned with Group Communication and well established within the BA. As a part of global communication management teams, you will align country communication plans and act as an internal communication advisor for the BA.

Your main areas of responsibility will include:
- Strategic communication planning
- Managing communication activities within the BA
- Supporting Group Communication's crisis communication
- Managing social media activities
- Ensuring that brand and communication guidelines and policies are followed and contribute to the Group with improvement in many areas
- Supporting global communication and branding activities, such as sponsoring, visits and events, in the BA.

This position involves at least 1-2 weeks of travel per month.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Communication, Journalism or a related field and at least 5 years' experience as a Communication professional from an international or large company. You must also have experience from managing, establishing and developing communication channels and from a role as communication advisor, as well as having familiarity with the local media and communication landscape. Good knowledge in English, both written and spoken, is required in this role.

You are flexible, with a pedagogic way of working, as well as quality oriented and systematic. You are used to stakeholder management - engaging, motivating and creating commitment - and you have both strategic and operational communication skills.
