Volvo Penta is looking for a strategic business partner to drive the People & Culture agenda within the Marine Business Unit. As Vice President Human Resources, Marine Business Unit, you will join a high-engaged team with passion for business and unique customer relations, based on a strong brand, performance and innovation.

The ideal candidate is a team player with a can-do attitude, who is not afraid to question and is willing to learn and contribute into the overall targets of the marine business strategy. In the role, you will report to the President, Business Unit Marine, and be a core member of the Volvo Penta Marine Management Team. You will also be part of the global Volvo Penta HR Team and have a dotted line to the SVP HR.

Key responsibilities:

• Strengthen BU Marine leadership capabilities & talent pipeline
• Work close to the business while supporting the company transformation agenda
• Strategic coaching & contribution to developing staff & managers
• Create and drive HR-plans and HR-activities that support business goals and are aligned with Volvo Penta strategy and BU Marine strategy
• Identify key competence gaps and create complete action plans within BU Marine
• Govern and manage HR processes like salary review and recruitments

Your background and competencies:

We are looking for candidates with 5-10 years of successful experience in a similar role and a relevant university degree. To thrive in this position proven knowledge of change management and international experience as well as excellent people and teamwork skills are key competencies. Your strong capacity to build networks and influence others, in a multicultural, cross-functional, global environment, will make things happen. With a hands-on approach you are capable of quickly switching between strategic thinking and operational work and have the courage to find new ways to excel previous results.
