Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis

We are looking for a Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (VP of FP&A).You will be responsible for three main functions within Klarna:

First, you will be responsible for financial planning which includes the creation of the annual business plan. In this function, you are responsible for providing regular forecasts of the company's future financial position and analysis on variations to the business plan.

Second, you are responsible for business analysis. We are constantly evaluating the economics of new products, markets, joint ventures, and potential acquisitions and the responsibility for this analysis lies with business analysis.

Third, you are responsible for the business intelligence function at Klarna. As a high growth financial services company, Klarna amasses a huge of amount of data. Business intelligence partners with sales, product development, and other areas of the company to leverage this data for operational purposes and to make better business decisions.

Finally, you will be responsible for profitability management at Klarna. The profitability management team works with leaders across the organization, primarily Product and Sales, to determine the features and pricing to maximize profitability.

You will have a team consisting of 20 professionals with strong academic credentials and professional experience.

The VP of FP&A is a critical role at any company, but especially impactful at Klarna due to the pace of growth and change and the complexity of the products offered. Klarna's products are highly innovative and therefore you must conduct original research to determine the economic drivers of the business. Also, just as many of Klarna's products are new, its processes and systems are also new or in some cases non-existent. This is a demanding and rewarding role for someone who has both a deep interest in new technology-based business models and in designing robust but flexible financial management systems.

Required qualifications:
- 10+ years experience in financial planning and analysis or related fields with increasing levels of responsibility
- BS or MBA (preferred) in finance, economics, or business administration
- Experience recruiting, hiring, and leading high performing teams
- Deep expertise with analyzing financial results, include both income statement and balance sheet analysis

Experience with these is a bonus:
- 5+ years in financial services industry, preferably consumer credit
- 5+ years in high-growth technology-based businesses
- Management consulting or investment banking experience a plus, particularly related to the skill set of quickly analyzing new products, channels, or customer segments
- Investor relations experience
