At BRAVe you are part of a global team with the task to make Volvo Car Group a leading company in CAE-simulation. BRAVe works with identifying and securing the competences, processes, methods and tool needs of today and tomorrow to develop CAE/Simulation capability to meet our future business challenges. You and the BRAVe team handle one of the most important items (Virtual development) for the success of the company 2020 year objectives. Our mission is to develop and maintain process and environment for Volvo Car Groups virtual (CAE) development.

As Virtual Vehicle Architecture responsible (VVA) you will be an essential chain in the virtual development. You will report to BRAVe, Vehicle Engineering management and to Program management at Vehicle Engineering. Most of the engineers in BRAVe have more than 15 years of experience from automotive business and Vehicle Engineering but are still learning the Volvo way of executing tasks and are keen to drive changes to increase business efficiency. Main responsibilities
· Develop a strategy and structure for Volvo Cars plant model repository, Virtual Vehicle Architecture (VVA) criteria and architecture
· Be responsible for Plant model repository and process during development and use
· Control development of plant models for complete car, systems and subsystems
· Lead the Virtual Vehicle Architecture (VVA) team
· Develop integration, configuration tools and principles
· Decide on and implement FMI/FMU
· Increase understanding and cooperation between function simulation and classic calculation.
· Benchmark other OEMs
· Participate in academic, national and international networks for simulation and model development

Required qualifications
· M.Sc. in electrical or mechanical engineering, preferred with a major in model based development
· A minimum 5 years of work experience from described area
· Good knowledge in simulation tools (Modelica, Simulink, etc.)
· Benchmark other OEMsGood knowledge in configuration tools (Enterprice architect, Subversion, CVS etc.)
· Knowledge in FMI/FMU standard
· Complete vehicle knowledge
· Experience to work with and lead cross functional teams
· Project management skills
· Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
