G2P - Process & IT

Global Product Development & Purchasing (G2P) within Volvo Buses is responsible for development and maintenance of all Volvo chassis and complete buses.

Our department, ?Process & IT?, is responsible for that the development processes, methods and tools used by G2P globally. Our main areas of responsibility are: Process Development, Product Documentation Management and IS/IT. In the area of Standards and Design checking we have a responsibility as lead site.

Job Purpose Ensure that the quality of the released drawings fulfils Volvo and international ISO standards.

This position is of great importance for the whole company due to contribution for shorter lead times and less risk for subsequent activities like Purchasing and Manufacturing.
Responsibilities

Choice of standard parts fulfils Volvo common recommendation
Ordering new standard parts from Volvo Corporate standards
Representing the interests of VBC at Volvo Corporate standards
Maintaining START, our common standard part system as super user for VBC
Drawing checking lead
MDS checking
Feature leader , Materials and environmental impact

Qualifications
Good technical knowledge and experience from mechanical design
Capability to drive for improvements
Service minded approach with high level of integrity and autonomy
Well-structured and quality oriented
Good coaching and trainer capabilities
Good writing and communicative skills in English
