Warehouse Manager DC Älmhult

Location: DC Älmhult

As Warehouse Manager you are responsible for both people and operations in our distribution centre in Älmhult. Responsibilities include planning, lead and coordinate operations, work towards set goals and KPIs. You will be responsible for personnel development to secure growth of our organization and change management. The position also includes taking responsibility for developing a DC Älmhult?s main process - Process Out.

The assignment is stimulating and diverse and therefore requires you to be structured, accurate but also flexible. You must enjoy working in an operations oriented environment that often requires fast decisions without losing our long term goals. You are responsible for achieving objectives and key performance indicators. Moreover your quest is to constantly try to find better and smarter ways to secure our mission to the customer is fulfilled. You have well developed communication skills that allow you in a good way to meet people with different roles in our organization.

To be successful in this role you have the leadership abilities to develop an organisation and deal with many changes. You enjoy leading people! You have a university degree in Logistics or equivalent and some years of working experience in a management position preferably within retail, logistics, and transport or related. You are able to get things done, with the desire to question current ways of working and to strive for quick, lean and simple solutions. You are capable to develop and to lead an organization in a fast changing environment and to deal with many changes. You are results oriented, have a lot of energy and the desire to constantly find new ways to develop yourself and the business. You are an experienced leader who is good at building trusting relationships.

To succeed in this role you must have the ability to work towards others to enable your team leaders and employees to develop and prepare for the next step. You will be part of our management team and report to DC manager.

IKEA Distribution Services North Europe is a part of IKEA´s Supply Chain and is responsible for the distribution of the IKEA range to customers and stores in Northern Europe. We have five distribution centers located in United Kingdom (Doncaster), Sweden (Älmhult and Torsvik), Poland (Jarosty) and Russia (Esipovo). In Torsvik and Peterborough we also have customer distribution centers (CDC) which deliver IKEA products directly to the customers in the Nordic countries, UK and Ireland.
