The Warranty & Service Market Business Control Department at Volvo Trucks Head Quarter is recruiting a Warranty Business Controller to support the Volvo Trucks Quality and Warranty ambitions and Transformation journey. For the right candidate there are big potentials for development both within the Finance area in general and Warranty- and Campaign support in particular. You will be part of a competent team of controllers located in Gothenburg and report to the Director Warranty & Service Market Business Control.
Main activities and responsibilities
Responsible for closing related matters connected to contractual warranty e.g., reconciliation of provision balances, bookings in SAP, provision calculations in ProGar, deviation analysis vs forecast and previous year
Risk management and contractual payments follow-up
Support development and improvement of instructions and finance related systems connected to Contractual Warranty Management
Participate in digitalization initiatives as part of the continues improvement work
For the European/International value chain, consolidate and summarize the deviation analysis and comments of the contractual warranty financial forecasts. Load warranty financial forecast in Hyperion
Provide business control and analytical support for financial issues related to Contractual warranty within Volvo Trucks
Manage the Supplier Warranty Recovery
Represent Volvo Trucks Warranty Business Control in different fora, meetings and initiatives concerning Contractual Warranty Management
Ad-hoc analysis relating to the above
Main interfaces are CFO- and business controller colleagues in Sales Areas, Regional Value Chain Departments, Quality department and other Central Functions at Volvo Trucks and Financial Control and Accounting (FCA). Interaction with other stakeholders such as other Business Areas and Volvo Group Functions or Truck Divisions will also occur.
Preferred qualifications
University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field
Experience from working within Finance in Commercial area preferably within the Volvo Group is an advantage
Deep understanding of Accounting principles, preferably with working experience
Good knowledge about Volvo Group financial tools especially Essbase and BI tools
Working experience of SAP R/3, BCS, Essbase, AIM or other similar accounting- and financial reporting systems is considered a merit
Good understanding of AB Volvo’s financial policies & reporting processes
High level of proficiency in written and spoken English
Interest in driving change through digitalization tools

You have strong analytical skills and a structured way of working. It is essential that you have the drive to reach objectives and have a business-oriented mind-set. You have an open and positive attitude, drive to improve, flexibility and ability to work in a proactive way on your own initiative. You have a genuine interest in our commercial business. The job requires that you create a good network within the Volvo Trucks Central Functions and with Sales Areas; therefore, your ability to communicate and to work with people on different levels in the organization is also essential.
