We are now looking for an Application Engineer to join our team in Kalmar, Sweden on a permanent basis. Are you ready to jump onboard?
What will you be doing?
Your work will focus on these responsibilities:
1. Implementing product updates and retrofits to existing products
• Internal project manager for the entire chain
• Keeping track on timelines, deliveries, what's needed at site, which documents to up-date etc
2. Sales support package
• Check sales package when we have project specific sales
• Both new build and after sales.
3. Document up-dates
• Up-date written documents (design and performance, descriptions) in the sales output when we do product revisions.
4. Providing overall system design integration & interfaces of Wärtsilä Biogas Solutions Products
• Develop system integrations of biogas upgrading and liquefaction units
• Supporting sales & participation in customer meetings on the overall system design and new add-ons
• Deliver project specific heat-integration calculations for performance guarantees
• Support projects with project specific system integration & interfaces
5. Identify the battery limits and interfaces of Wärtsilä Biogas Solutions Products to external units
• Support sales & project execution on non-standard interfaces for the total system design and adapted battery limits - considering typical interfaces (eg AD, boiler) as well as add-ons like CO2 liquefaction or H2S treatment of off-spec gas
• Identify customer/country/location specific deviations to typical specifications & requirements
6. Support with new development activities to enter new markets/geographical areas/applications or business models, examples:
• Decarbonisation by CO2 capture technology from point sources - Differs from standard CA with the different inlet gas specification.
You will shine in this role when you have:
• General engineering knowledge, including mechanical knowledge of pipe systems and standards, basic chemistry, basic thermodynamics
• Practical understanding of AutoCad or AutoPlant
• Competence using the MS Office applications
• High level general knowledge of PED and ATEX
• Proven ability to pick up and use regulations standards (how they affect our products)
• Well organised, effectively managing projects from initiation through to completion
• Willing and open to learn
