We are looking for a mine surveyor over the summer period!

In the Björkdal mine in Sandfors outside Skellefteå, we mine gold ore in our underground mine. We are a young and driven gang with just over 240 employees and about a hundred entrepreneurs. We are owned by Mandalay Resources, which is based in Toronto, Canada and is TSX-listed. You come to a culture characterized by security, cooperation and optimism, where it is easy to feel at home.

About the position
The position is a temporary summer position starting upon agreed date until the end of August with the possibility for longer employment.

As a Surveyor, your main tasks are:

Survey and stakeout stopes, rounds and diamond drill holes
Update of mining maps, scans of rooms and roof stakeouts.
We use a total station and modern scanning equipment in our daily work. Other surveying tasks within the industrial area may occur.

Qualifications

Educated or under training in measurement technology/surveying or similar education
Experience of surveying with total station is a merit
Experience in CAD programs such as Deswik, Microstation and Surpac or equivalent is a merit
Underground experience is a merit
B driving license is a requirement.
Who are you?
This work will involve close collaboration with engineers, geologists and underground productions. Therefore the person hired must have the will and ability to collaborate with others, as well as be your motivation and dirve your work forward. Other qualities that will make you succeed in the role as surveyor at our comapny is the ability to handle several tasks at the same time and being independent and taking initiative. You also need to be quick to learn, accurate and structured.
