We are looking for a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer for Drives (gearbox and motor) for our office in Västerås

Your Role

The Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer/Professional drives systematic and continuous supplier quality assurance.

Quality expert within the Part Approval Process (PAP), leading supplier audits and measuring of supplier performance

Where needed on site support for problem solving to reach: On Quality, On Time and On Cost.

He/ She define Quality requirements of purchase parts, facilitate and have an expert role in supplier improvement, support and development activities. Coordination and check of the Supplier Quality Plan.

Consolidate and evaluate supply chain performance data, report and feed them into the improvement management process. Key activity: Supplier Improvement Support and Development

This position requires frequent travelling to our suppliers that are located mainly around Europe
Key Responsibilities

Execution of the Parts Approval Process (PAP) on a basis of Doc 24, Supplier Quality Plan, in close cooperation with the Project QA and the Buyer, including close-out of action items

SQA will initiate and follow up the problem solving activities with suppliers (NCR process, 8D), continuous improvement activities including coaching and drive open items to conclusion (PDCA)

Support of the quality part of the Supplier Evaluation & Approval Process (SAA and PAA) and monitoring of special processes at suppliers. Participation in specific cross-functional improvement projects/activities led by Procurement (e.g. TCO activities, Supplier CI workshops and JDDP)

Input to supplier specifications: Support PQA in issuing quality section of project requirements (processes) and liaise with engineering to ensure that Q-requirements (product) are considered in system requirements and influence Supplier Selection with a TCO focused cross functional Offer Evaluation including consideration of past Supplier Performance
Your Experience and Qualifications

Relevant engineering degree or substantial working experience from manufacturing industry

Strong knowledge and experience in dealing with suppliers regarding quality management

Strong knowledge in quality planning

Willingness to travel

Strong cultural understanding

Fluent in English, both oral and written, beneficial with Swedish language skills
