Materials & Chemistry Centre (MACC) is an independent department within Alfa Laval working exclusively with materials and chemistry related questions. MACC is divided into three departments; Engineering Materials, Chemistry & Corrosion and Material Standards.

One of our material specialists will leave for another company and therefore we are searching for a Material Specialist in the Engineering Materials group. The position is based in Lund.

The person will work with material evaluations of different Alfa Laval products and production processes with focus on material technology. The position will include practical work combined with theoretical analysis.

MACC supports other functions within Alfa Laval, e.g. market segments, R&D and production.
Typical tasks for the position will be:
• Failure investigations of customer claims and leak searching
• Product evaluations and material analysis
• Production support, primary brazing procedures
• Material advice and market support
• Project leader of material related projects

We want you to have a Master degree in Material science. To be successful you have to be open-minded, accurate, analytical and a good team-player. For this position we think that you have to be able to communicate in both Swedish and English fluently.
