Autoliv, Inc. is the worldwide leader in automotive safety systems, and through our subsidiaries we develop, manufacture and market protective systems, such as airbags, seatbelts, steering wheels and pedestrian protection systems for all major automotive manufacturers in the world. Our products save over 30,000 lives each year and prevent ten times as many severe injuries. In Sweden we are located in Vårgårda, with a satellite office at Lindholmen, focusing on RDE activities within airbags, seatbelts and our newly established area Mobility Safety Solutions. We have strong testing capabilities with several labs and crash tracks as well as a highly automated production where we produce inflators and special products.

To support our mission on Innovation development and development for Mobility Safety Solutions Autoliv has established a new Supply Chain Management organization. The global supply chain organization is responsible for purchasing and supplier quality activities in advanced development and application projects in all product areas within the Global Innovation Center in Sweden, as well as providing logistics competence in early development phases. Furthermore, the department drives process development for advanced supply chain activities to capture expanded opportunities for innovation and abilities to develop safety products for new markets.

We are now searching for an Advanced Buyer to contribute to the innovation development on Pyro-Safety solutions!

Assignments:
As Advanced Buyer you will be the responsible buyer in feasibility studies and advanced development projects in the Pyro-Safety area. You will also support request for quotations and project buyer activities for concerned application projects. Your main responsibilities will be to identify and manage early involvement from key suppliers in our development process for an increased level of innovation and design optimized for quality and cost. You will focus on new components that represent a technology challenge or high innovation level. Furthermore, you will coordinate the supply chain project activities for the Pyro-Safety development and with your technical interests actively contribute in the concept development phases. Travels will be required on demand.
In your assignment you belong to a supply chain team located in Vårgårda Sweden, and you will be working in a global context. You will report to Global Supply Chain Innovation Manager, connected to the Global Supply Chain Development organization in Autoliv.

Qualifications:
The position requires a master or bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Economics / Business or other related area as well as broad knowledge and experience from the supply chain area. You have a good ability to lead and coordinate tasks and collaborate with others, both in a project context and with other functions globally within the supply chain organization such as strategic segment buyers and cost improvement teams. You have a good technical knowledge, contract management knowledge, as well as strong negotiating skills and good ability to analyze costs.
To succeed in this position, we believe that you have a maturity in your purchasing role with a strong business mindset. You are openminded and curious with a willingness to explore new ideas and take initiatives for improvements. With an ability to structure and organize your work you will successfully manage both strategical and operational perspectives to achieve our goals. You take overall responsibility for your work and ensure the involvement of key competencies when required. Furthermore, you think it is fun to navigate in an area where all the structures are not yet set, and you appreciate the collaboration with your colleagues to together form effective and successful working concepts.
The role requires that you can communicate freely in English in speech and writing, and preferably as well in Swedish, and that you have a well-developed communicative ability.
