Chief Accountant to SKF Finance Operation Center

SKF is establishing a Finance Operation Center organization supporting all SKF units globally. We have an exciting future ahead of us towards a clear Finance strategy road map. Finance will have a powerful role related to a lean, efficient and digital environment, and we are aiming to be in the frontline of next generation Business Finance.


The Finance Function at SKF in Gothenburg Sweden includes Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Record to Report and Central Controlling processes. Our Finance Operations Center will support several countries in North Europe.

Chief Accountant to SKF Finance Operation Center

Your day-to-day work
The Chief accountant organizes and reviews month-end closing and reporting. You are accountable for the legal reporting for one or several legal entities served by the sub-region incl. responsibility for local regulatory requirements.
In the role you will also drive and coordinate reporting improvements within the SKF Strategy and use SKF Business excellence as the tool to reach future goals. You are also responsible for coordinating the external audit of the legal entities and to ensure compliance from a legal and corporate governance perspective.

We expect you to have/be
• University degree in Finance and Accounting or similar
• An experienced Chief accountant with experience from global companies - SSC/BPO/FOC structures preferred
• Fluent English is mandatory
• Finance process-oriented with broad experience in SAP or other ERP systems
• Computer literacy is essential and experience in MS office applications (excellent command of MS Excel is a must)
• Good communication skills to both interact with internal client served, as well as within FOC team.
• Expert in IFRS, Swedish GAAP and similar local framework(K3)
• Willingness to work in a dynamic and challenging environment
