If the answers are yes, then you may be the right person for the Commodity Buyer position within the Exhaust After-Treatment Systems (EATS) team in Volvo Group Purchasing.


THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES
The GTP Powertrain EATS team is indeed looking for a Commodity Buyer, responsible for the Euro 6 & Euro 7 Canning Systems, located in Goteborg (Sweden) or in Lyon (France).
In this Commodity Buyer role, you will be a key player of the Global cross-functional team and will be part of a passionate and diverse purchasing team. The EATS segment is characterized by a dynamic environment, complex supply chain challenges and fast moving technologies linked to new legislation demands. Our components do have a direct impact on people health, which is driving our commitment. We strive to be in the front seat of this development, and this is where you come into the picture. ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Commodity Buyer, you will be directly responsible for both the key supplier(s) on your scope and for contributing to the strategic work on your area. You will be taking the lead in driving one of our major direct material portfolios within Powertrain and you will have to manage a complex supply chain.


Some key responsibilities and activities will be to:
Drive all relevant activities to deliver on QDCFTSR (*) targets during production and after production phases
Guarantee cross-functional interaction between GTP and the Volvo Group, represent Purchasing in relevant cross-functional fora’s
Monitor, identify, report and mitigate risks in cooperation with stakeholders
Animate a complex supply chain in cooperation with the support functions and the plants
Manage and negotiate product/processes changes. Perform daily purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers
Contribute to the Segment Strategy with the Segment leader
Manage Sourcing activities and drive the cross-functional supplier selection process
Negotiate and secure competitive and quality secured legal agreements
Actively contribute to the team development, support your peers, develop your own skills
