Job Description
We are now looking for a talented Competence Lead / Software Engineer to our Fulfilment Centre Operations Product Area in Business Tech.
Fulfilment Centre Operations is managing H&M’s own operated warehouses on SAP EWM platform. Our vision for the product area is to constantly evolve and deliver an efficient platform for our business and our external partners. To enable our partners to operate their warehouse logistics to meet customer promise in a cost-efficient and sustainable way.
In the Customer Fulfilment domain, you will be part of our Fulfilment Centre Operations product area responsible for creating warehousing and Fulfilment centre solutions with class-leading tech, making sure our SAP EWM platform follows the trends in warehousing to secure adaptability to new processes and new technology. About the role
The Competence Lead / Software Engineer role has a dual focus – staff responsibility and delivery. As a Software Engineer with Competence Lead, you will have staff responsibility for employees within the same/adjacent competence as your own, working in different product teams within the same product area. Your mission will be to support, coach and help your team members grow and develop.
You are expected to take part in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from idea and analysis to working solutions deployed in our warehouses. The work will be focused on the product backlog, created based on agreed product mission as well as defined objectives and key results by using agile methodologies.
In this role, you will work closely with the product owners within the product area, as well as other competence leads, software engineers and business experts. You will collaborate with stakeholders in other product teams/areas and enabling functions, as well as with logistics operations. You will be able to try out your creative and innovative ideas – and have a large impact on how we shape the future of fashion retail logistics.
Furthermore, as a Software Engineer your tasks will include:
Translate product strategy and requirements into suitable, maintainable and scalable solutions
Collaborate closely with product owners and other cross-functional teams, share best practices as well as discuss and motivate design solutions
Work with professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle



We are on a journey together which means there is no clear path. You will play an important role in building our product and being part of creating and leading our new organisation. We want to become much more data driven and explorative in new technologies. We want to move into DevOps organisation where our products have a strong focus on operational stability.


Qualifications
Requirements – We believe that you…
are dynamic, collaborative, and curious
are flexible, stress-resistant and able to work in an environment that is not yet formalised
have a degree in Computer Science or Engineering
have leadership experience, ability to coach others in a way that enables them to grow professionally and to increase their performance
have at least 5 year’s hands-on work experience with SAP, preferably in EWM
have experience working with agile practices
are fluent in English both written and verbal
