What we offer
We are establishing a Configuration Management team that will create and be the owner of our Configuration Management process within R&D. This is an opportunity for you to shape our implementation of the Configuration Management system to enable fast and frequent SW upgrade to new and existing car models and variants on the market.

We aim to evolve systematics of our Configuration Management process to be able to handle product evolution. To address the need to clarify, simplify, and educate in our constantly evolving development system. In this position we are looking for the specific competence and experience from Configuration Management in embedded products. Our products are electrified, connected, autonomous and will be frequently enhanced to continuously improve customer experience.

What you will do
We are delivering cars, APPs and upgrades continuously to automotive consumers. Our Configuration Management Wow is constantly evolving. As a Configuration Management process architect, you will define and evolve the Configuration Management process in R&D so that our release process will run efficient and that we can move towards continuous delivery of SW to our consumers.

You will drive inventory of current practises and drive change management to align to new practises. You will collaborate tightly with existing SW release team in Volvo Cars and drive change across R&D and wider in line with our SW Driven Company ambition.
Configuration Management is supporting collaboration cross Volvo Cars disciplines during the life cycle of our products, you are expected to act outside of R&D for the process deployment and evolvement.

You will as CM architect:

* Lead the work to implement and deploy a standardized Configuration Management process that comply to international standards regarding:
* Configuration identification
* Change Control
* Configuration status accounting
* Configuration audit
* Support the SW release process with CM related parts
* Act as a process owner over time for R&D Configuration Management process
* Be a contributor to R&D Configuration Management competence build up
* Drive deployment of standardized Configuration Management process in collaboration with key stakeholders in Commercial, Services and Manufacturing
* Drive IS/IT requirements for the Configuration Management tools
Be a contributing member in Volvo Cars Information Architecture and Infrastructure steering team

And this is your profile
Ideally, you are a collaborative, communicative, curious, and result oriented professional with deep understanding of Configuration Management for embedded SW product development and deployment.

You are a self-driven team player that take responsibility and ownership that like cross organisational collaboration. You take a structured approach to your work and have relevant technical skills that you have successfully applied to complex engineering tasks in the past.

Collaboration and swift communication feel natural to you, and you actively seek inspiration and influences to continuously improve your work methods. You share your know-how and expertise, contribute where you can, and you are also not afraid to ask for help when you need it. At the same time, you have no problem stating your own opinion, and setting high standards and expectations.

We are a global team which means that the minimum language requirements are excellent English verbal and in writing.
