What will you be doing:
As the Country Manager – Nordics, you will co-design and implement the strategy through expert leadership, drive, operational excellence and financial performance. Reporting to the SVP Europe, you’ll be a key part of the European leadership team. This is a hands on role - we’re looking for someone who can balance strategic demands with operational needs. You’ll be working with the teams, getting in front of customers and actively driving growth with some inventive ideas.
Summary of key responsibilities (not a conclusive list):
Achieving revenue, profit, market share growth, cash flow and expense targets
Proposing, agreeing, driving and implementing strategies that will lead to the profitable growth of the company
Providing overall leadership for the local management team
Developing initiatives for new Sales & Marketing opportunities within the market. Identifying strategic market opportunities for growth.
Develop teams and build a stronger and deeper talent pool
Developing and overseeing the markets long-range business development initiatives
Generating new business opportunities and increasing revenue with existing clients
Conducting market research and developing marketing strategies to ensure growth.
Develop, agree and implement business plans with a particular focus on sales and marketing, business development, planning and forecasting
Achieve customer satisfaction objectives
Take ownership for employee engagement and development plus Wellness initiatives with support from HR
Increase perceived value in the marketplace by providing high quality products, excellent service and supply
Remain current on emerging technology, market conditions, industry standards and other factors likely to affect business performance
Direct communication and reporting activities for the countries.


What skills and experience should you have?
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent leadership of people and team management plus motivational capabilities. You should possess strong business acumen to manage all aspects of a country business, in-depth knowledge of financial and legal principles plus marketing, sales and excellent customer focused interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
You will need to have extensive experience in both marketing and sales, including senior management experience with a track record in high growth markets plus international exposure.
If you’ve worked in the optical industry previously this would be a bonus but we’re open minded if you can bring something new to the table! FMCG/consumer goods/medical devices is preferred. Ideally you will have experience working in a B2C environment.
