Data Scientist

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team and to continue the development of a data-driven ecosystem in the Combient sphere. We work with some of the largest companies in Sweden and Finland that span a wide range of industries, you will be able to apply your experience, skills, and creativity on a broad scale.
Additionally, we are in the process of scaling up our well appreciated and recognised Applied Data Science Campus. This is a learning and enablement program that is specifically designed to simultaneously initiate data science activities, and bring awareness of how a data driven mindset can bring value to the Nordic industries. We expect this program and its adjacent programs to grow significantly over the coming years into a portfolio of enablement services.


You will be a key part of a mission that enables thousands of qualified employees to use machine learning and advanced analytics across the Combient network. Our mission is to enable the employees of our companies to take advantage of their data assets.


What you will do
Contribute and continue to develop the existing Applied Data Science Campus, but also build and coach new enablement modules for machine learning and statistics
Supervise and be part of multiple real-world data science projects that come from the participants day to day business
Assist in translating business problems to well-scoped and defined data science projects for our participants
Give lectures (mostly online) and take responsibility of creating and the delivery of data science assignments



Who you are
PhD degree (physics, computer science, statistics, mathematics, electrical engineering or similar)
Many years of experience from Data Science
Technical competence and maturity to perform advanced analytics, and to simplify and break down complex problems. You have expert coding skills in Python and are fluent in analytics tools such as sklearn and pandas, and have experience of working in Jupyter notebooks
Experience in supervising projects or students
Sstrong skills in communication and experience from public speaking, that values building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders and have the ability to explain complex topics. Fluent in written and spoken English
Experience of working with AWS, Azure or GCP
Experience from time-series analysis
Teaching and mentoring experience, and interest and experience of online learning and pedagogics
