Director Marine Business Segment at Volvo Penta region International
 
As the Director Marine Business Segment you will be responsible for developing the business for the Marine Power Systems through our own Market Units and Importers in Region International. 


Region International one of three sales regions offering the complete range of Volvo Penta products and offerings via market units and importers in Africa, Middle East, CIS, Asia and the Pacific. 


You will be managing a team of two business development managers and two application engineers based here in Sweden.


You will also be the marine business segment representative towards related functions within Volvo Penta. The position require frequent travelling.
 
You will be a member of the Regions’ Extended Management Team and report to the Vice President Sales & Marketing.
 
Main Areas of Responsibility
Develop and drive long term market strategies and short term market activities
Together with MU’s and Importer sales set and achieve sales targets
Support our market units and importers to develop their business
Represent our region in internal forums and drive our interests
Develop an agile and sales oriented team
Profitability and price management
Manage a marketing budget & activities



Qualifications
Solid experience and understanding of the marine industry
Leadership skills, preferably from an international environment
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to network effectively with internal and external stakeholders
University degree in Engineering and/or Business administration
Fully proficient in English - verbal and writing
Additional languages are a further qualifier
Boots on the ground attitude
