The Technical Analysis and Supplier Warranty Recovery (TA&SWR) team, part of Group Truck Technology Quality & Customer Satisfaction, is looking for a strong candidate to lead its team in Sweden and be an active player of the Q&CS journey.
TA&SWR drives Supplier Warranty recovery and contributes to warranty spend reduction for Group Trucks suppliers, hereby directly contributing to Group Trucks Brands and Business Areas profitability. Our core activities entail confirming technical responsibility and liability in component failure modes, and negotiating recovery with suppliers within our contractual frameworks, in collaboration with Purchasing, Engineering, Legal Counsel, third part technical experts and truck brands aftermarket organizations. As such, TA&SWR is managing Warranty Material Analysis (WMA) cross-functionally with stakeholders and is also responsible to act upon the supplier contractual obligation for what pertains to warranty. Through the recovery process, TA&SWR creates incentives to improve product quality and support quality continuous improvement in maintenance and project phase via the ‘lessons’ learned.
TA&SWR is one team of skilled professional operating in Gothenburg (Sweden), Lyon (France), Greensboro and Hagerstown (U.S.A.), and Curitiba (Brazil), owning their business and accountable for supplier warranty portfolio management. The Q&CS Director Supplier Warranty Recovery Sweden has a Key Account responsibility towards Volvo Trucks in Europe, and is managing teams based in Sweden, recovering regionally for the Volvo Trucks in Europe, Renault Trucks and for all AB Volvo truck brands for platforms components. TA&SWR operates in a matrix, with regional governance towards Trucks brands, supported by global governance for top platform warranty cases. TA&SWR operates with standard tools and practices worldwide.
Our ideal candidate has line management experience, strong interest in technology, a proven ability to negotiate with suppliers’ senior management and strong networking abilities.
Secure teams deliver Supplier Warranty Recovery and drive warranty cost reduction for top suppliers, in seamless cross-functional work with Purchasing and Engineering
Drive teams to act upon Volvo’s and supplier contractual obligation in warranty matters
Drive teams’ competence development, strategic continuous improvement activities and standardization of warranty/quality best practices
Key Account for Volvo Trucks organization in Europe on warranty matters and interfaces Group Trucks Functions stakeholders
Represents Supplier Warranty Recovery and Q&CS as required within the Group or with external stakeholders
Manage Headcount and OPEX
Essential skills and needed experience
Master of Science or Master of Business Administration
At least 5 years line management experience
Demonstrating a high level of competence in the following Volvo leadership competencies: customer focus, decision quality, build effective teams, action-oriented and drives engagement
Strong interest in technology and technical understanding
Go to Gemba approach
Understand company’s financials
Business mindset, comfortable with negotiation
Acts with high integrity
Able to demonstrate successful international business experience within a global network
