AAMP Nordic AB is a leading company in car & consumer electronics in the Nordic market. We are part of a worldwide American group, AAMP Global, with offices all over the world. In Sweden, we are represented by a small team of thirteen people based in Partille just outside Gothenburg.
Main purpose of job:
The Financial Controller is responsible for all Financial matters in the Nordics region of AAMP Global Europe. Working closely with and supporting the Executive team to effectively manage all day to day activities of this demanding hands-on role. With exceptional numerical proficiency and a good understanding of tax, audit and payroll the Financial Controller will aid the Company’s positive revenue and financial growth by formulating sound financial strategies and implementing proper internal controls that support the organisations overall strategy. This is a demanding role in a dynamic and fast paced environment and the Financial Controller will pay a key part in the daily business operations. At your side will be a part-time accounts assistant.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and publish financial reports/statements and produce monthly management accounts.
Actively manage customer invoice collections and vendor payment processes.
Reconcile balance sheets and deliver summary reconciliation reports to the Executive team when required, including weekly bank reconciliations.
Manage the payroll for the Nordics ensuring that all payroll activities are legally compliant.
Oversee all activities related to tax and tax compliance issues.
Manage accounting records for the business and required subsidiaries including analysing financial data, monitoring expenditure, and forecasting revenue.
Evaluate and manage financial risk, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Prepare and publish financial reports/statements and produce monthly management accounts.
Monitor internal controls.
Participate in budgeting processes.
Lead, co-ordinate and participate in auditing processes for the region, in line with Group reporting deadlines.
Provide weekly cashflow forecast reports.
Ensure the accuracy of all financial information.
Evaluate and manage risks.
Act as the primary support person for the Nordic Managing Director for month, quarter, and year-end financial activities.
Highlight and provide solutions to any issues that are likely to affect the operation of the business to the relevant stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with all team members.
Additional ad hoc duties as and when required.

The Person
Significant experience in a managerial accounting position
Very hands-on
Experience in dealing with multi-currencies
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, ACCA/CIMA or similar relevant qualification
Good working knowledge of integrated accounts
Experience in managing payroll
Strong understanding of European taxation and laws
Advanced IT Skills - Windows Office & ERP system - NetSuite experience would be an advantage
Excellent attention to detail

Exceptional problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills at all levels
A proven team player
Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organisation
Desire to understand the strategic direction of the business
Able to work autonomously to pre-defined schedules
Organised, reliable and thorough
Flexibility to travel internationally when required
Good verbal and written knowledge of English
