Our Challenge
Climate change is the ultimate safety test and Volvo Cars will pioneer sustainability as we have always done with safety. At Sustainability Centre we ensure that we are integrating sustainability in the hole lifecycle of our vehicles with the aim for carbon neutrality 2040. 

Aerodynamics is one of several attributes within Sustainability Centre and in order to lead in energy efficiency and achieving stable driving dynamics, our scope reaches from the development of vehicle exterior to components and systems for optimal aerodynamics. We are involved in start-up of product concepts to final validation, setting and confirming target fulfilment and product data. 

Are you skilled in fluid dynamics and want to build a network within Volvo Cars? Then the role as First Analysis Engineer Aerodynamics is the place for you to prosper. 

Your Contribution
You will drive Aerodynamics in typical vehicle programs and contribute to more energy efficient movement of people and sustainability. Your response will be to plan, prepare and perform CFD calculations and wind tunnel tests, you will also conduct analysis and create recommendations. Further, you will develop new testing equipment and analysis methods. You will need to present your work both spoken and written in various foras and systems.

You will collaborate with Product Design and other areas affecting Aerodynamics, you will also get the opportunity to be part of research and external collaborations together with national and international partners. 

Over time, you will be involved in all phases of the design and development of our products, including the pre-study work for vehicle programs. You will work with improving our products, certification, setting data and be responsible for analysis work (physical and CAE). 

Competence is Important
We see that you have at least a M.Sc. degree or equivalent in engineering and proven experience that built high skills in fluid dynamics. You will need skills in CFD (e.g. STAR) and CAD geometry work (e.g. CATIA/ANSA) as well as in measurements and development of measurement systems. A Driver’s license B valid in Sweden will also be required.

Meritorious would be experience from working with aerodynamics in the automotive industry and/or experience from wind tunnel tests.

Personality is Key
You are a team-oriented with high integrity, inclusive towards others. You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable giving presentations.
Further, you are result driven and have the ability to prioritize between different tasks, you always aim to keep deadlines. You are open to change and contributing to a good working atmosphere is crucial for you.
