The role as Global Product Manager (the "Manager") for flexible Automation (FSW, HLAW and Robotics) is newly established and reflects the increased demand for our services and products in these technology areas. The Global Product Manager will coordinate and secure a relevant, competitive and cost effective product portfolio and bring it to market through the most effective channels, all in line with the overall strategy of the business. The Manager will have the global commercial and technical responsibility of the product area and is thereby essential for ESAB Automation growth and profitability. Main tasks will be to outline the product strategy and business plan, and thru technology and product roadmaps secure delivery of new products accordingly. The Manager will also be responsible for product quality, pricing, sales tools and training of the sales personnel globally. The Manager will act as the project sponsor for product development and planned maintenance initiatives.

The Manager will be a part of the Automation management team and an important key person in the future development of the company and a major contributor growing ESAB's automation business to the next level according to the strategy together with the team.

The position holder will manage a team of 5-7 people globally. The team acts as sales support (including training and building up the regional competence) for focused regions according to the strategic priorities. For current business plan (2015-2017) the focused regions are NA, EU and South America. China is focused region for FSW and HLAW.

.Commercial and/or Technical education in mechanics, electronics, automation or production with university degree
.Solid understanding of business drivers across sales, marketing, product development and supply chain
.Experience of achieving positive business results and managing a portfolio of products
.Experience of driving change in a global company, working with different cultures on different levels within the company is highly desirable
.Working knowledge of automation, including laser, and prior experience within the welding industry
