Vitrolife is looking for Global Product Manager for Business Unit Disposable Devices part of Consumables Business Area. Vitrolife is a growing company, in a changing environment, where you can make a difference. We are now looking for a new member to join our Product Management Team. You will be part of the team based in Gothenburg and report to the Business Unit Manager for Disposable Devices. The role requires international travel that periodically can be quite frequent.

Purpose of the role
The Global Product Manager provides overall product leadership by creating and communicating the global marketing vision, strategy and direction for a product line. Your primary tasks are to represent and manage a product segment translating customer needs and company goals to ensuring profitable growth. Lead all facets of developing new products and solutions and maintaining throughout the whole product life cycle to ensure business unit revenue plan attainment. Identify and seek new/adjacent market opportunities and partnerships to increase market globally.

About the Job

• Drive, define and maintain the product roadmap for the defined product portfolio within Laboratory segment, suggesting new products as well as enhancements on existing products
• Responsible for the full integration of their product area within the overall offering
• Carrying out product launches from development of messaging, marketing material and launch plan to training, roll-out and follow up
• Lifecycle management of products including re-activation and discontinuation
• Support operations and market regions in the budget process making sure marketing and sales activities are linked with our supply process.
• Has insight in and provides adequate support to the sales channels in their area of responsibility on key deals
• Responsible for creation of Requirement Specifications and Business Cases for new products and for maintaining them during the project
• Ensure that high-quality commercial product documentation is available for their defined product area in collaboration with marketing department
• Secure introduction of new product with adequate knowledge transfer. Responsible to set the necessary competence profiles and skill set, both sales and technical oriented, within their product area
• Handle the product life cycle management and drive the maintenance for products within their defined product area
• Set the transfer and recommended end user prices for the product portfolio

Qualifications

• 5-10 years’ experience in Sales and Product Management preferable from Medical Device
• In-depth knowledge of customer needs and workflows as the voice of the customer is to be reflected in products and roadmaps (for example user needs and workflows in health care, or deep knowledge about OEM customer strategy and business)
• Experience in driving product management activities for business-to-business products and applications
• Create short and long-term product plans, including business case, ROI analysis, product pricing, cost/resource modeling and forecasting. Set product direction and priorities based on balanced needs of customers, sales, market demands and business goals
• Executive level, polished skills in presenting solutions to the market with a strong focus on the benefits for the customer
• General knowledge of regulatory processes and requirements relevant for the product area
• Independent and pragmatic attitude
• Able to work with and motivate others
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Language skills: fluency in English is a must
