Junior Test Engineer to leading vehicle manufacturer

You will belong to a group of 5 people within the area of autonomous vehicles, a part of their Software Factory, and the team works agile with both hardware and software. The group mainly works with requirements and testing in the autonomous system within the vehicles. They work with other teams who are developing different functions to the autonomous system and make sure that all functions are working correctly according to the requirements.

 

Job duties

In the role of a Test Engineer, you work with broad contact areas and much of your work will take place in the vehicle out on the road but also in the platform. The tasks are varied, and the group is responsible for the entire autonomous system and making sure that the functionality is working correct. You will for example:

• Set up a test plans and strategies
• Solve bugs in the software
• Test functionality in the vehicle while on test track (you will not be driving the truck)
• Take notes and monitor systems while the truck is moving and is exposed to different situations
• Debrief after test session, document, and write a report

We are looking for

• Bachelor or Master´s degree in a relevant technical field (computer technology, mechanics, electronics or mathematics for example)
• Communicate fluently in English in speaking and writing
• Knowledge within embedded systems

We see the merit if you have knowledge in Swedish or a strong desire to learn Swedish, have previous experience from testing and a strong interest in vehicles. We believe that your personal qualities are crucial to how well you will thrive in the role. As a person, you are responsible, structured and motivated by technical challenges. You are happy to collaborate with others to come up with creative solutions.
