We have Channel 5, Channel 9, Channel 11, Discovery Channel, TLC, Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2, Animal Planet, Discovery World, Discovery Science, Investigation Discovery, Discovery HD, Animal Planet HD as well as the play service, Dplay. The most recently acquired principal owner, Discovery Communications, also owns the rights to Olympic 2018 - 2024.

We are looking for a Legal Manager to our legal department with focus on commercial contract law with special experience in intellectual property rights. You will report directly and work close to Director Legal.
Your responsibilities will include:

• To provide general in-house counsel to all parts of the business as necessary with a focus on media related issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, such as program-, purchase- and license agreements.
• Provide the organization with law enforcement in the area of law - for example, monitoring new legal cases and new legislation.
• Maintain your knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance including GDPR.
• To effectively and efficiently deal with any claims, complaints and other issues.
• Manage corporate formalia.

Your education and experience
Master of Laws and a minimum 3 years of experience of professional experience from law firm or a company. You have worked with general business law and have very good experience of commercial agreements and intellectual property rights. Experience in working with corporate law issues is meritorious and of course also special experience in media law. Able to communicate both in English and Swedish fluently.
